It’s recommended:
1. Use wired headphones when talking by mobile phones, because increasing the distance to the source, the radiation is reduced by approximately 90%
2. Do not keep mobile phones close to the body, especially heart and other sensitive organs
3. Disconnect mobile data and WiFi from mobile phone when they are not in use
4. If it is really necessary to use a cordless telephone, use ECO DECT technology such as the Swiss Voice ePure because it “only” radiates when talking
5. Try not to use WIFI or use it as less as possible and switch it off during the night

  • Low frequency magnetic fields are generated by electrical devices when they are in operation, also by transformers and high voltage lines
  • There are underground high-voltage lines in cities
  • Scientists at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden performed a study considering people who have lived near high voltage lines
  • They proved a correlation between the exposure to magnetic fields and the increased risk of getting cancer, and they suggested a limit of 200 nT
  • The Swedish Government developed a legislation to limit people’s exposition to 200 nT. The limit in Spain is 100000 nT

LOW FREQUENCY ELECTRIC FIELDS (ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS, …)

  • There are low frequency electric fields in the electrical installation in buildings
  • It is very important that the electrical installation is connected with the Earth’s conductive surface
  • Avoid extension of electrical cables and unplug any electrical appliance when they are not in use, especially near the bed
  • A Bioswitch could be installed, which is a device that cuts off the electricity supply when there is no consumption in that circuit, to avoid electric fields in bedrooms

17 V/m were measured without the cable extension, and 157 V/m with the cable extension
