El Dr. José L. Castro Aguilar es Doctor en Física por la Universidad Tecnológica de Sydney (UTS) (Australia), Ingeniero Superior en Telecomunicaciones e Ingeniero Técnico en Electrónica
Especializado en sostenibilidad, eficiencia energética en edificios, salud en edificios, mitigación de la isla de calor urbana, simulación energética de edificios (EnergyPlus), consultoría informática (programación, bases de datos y desarrollo de software), data science, machine learning y sistema de gestión de edificios (BMS)
Investigó en el instituto Fraunhofer – Centro de Sistemas de Energía Sostenible (CSE), en Boston (EE. UU.)
Ha trabajado en Estados Unidos, Australia, Alemania, Suecia, Reino Unido, Francia y España
